Day 1 - 2 Hanoi
Arriving on day 1, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Start the next day with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and explore his former home, the House of Stilts and then One Pillar Pagoda, before sit back and enjoy your first view of the northern countryside as we drive to Halong Bay - one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, board on an overnight traditional junk boat to sail among thousands of limestone islands rising mystically from the water, explore caves and relax on the beach. Day 3 Halong Bay
Continue the cruise then change to a wooden boat to explore grottos and spot monkeys, after a lunch, disembarks and return to Hanoi. Wander through the streets of the fascinating Old Quarter, visit the ancient Temple of Literature and infamous Hanoi Hilton, enjoy local specialty dinner and an evening water puppet performance. Day 4 Hue
After a short flight to Hue, enjoy a traditional dragon boat cruise through the centre of Hue on the romantic Perfume River to the iconic Thien Mu pagoda and then visiting the ornate imperial tombs , enjoy a cyclo ride along the tree lined streets to visit the impressive remains of the walled Citadel, sample local specialty dinner. Day 5 - 6 Hanoi
Morning take a scenic drive over the stunning Hai Van Pass to Hoi An, feast your eyes with spectacular coastal scenery, visit Marble Mountain on the way. Afternoon walking tour of historic Hoi An, visit ancient merchants’ houses, a Hokkien Temple, Japanese covered Bridge and the colourful riverside market, sample a local speciality dinner. The next day is your free time at the ancient harbour city of Hoi An, you may hire a bike to explore local streets or order some handmade clothes or relax at local cafe. (2B/1D)

Day 7 Ho Chi Minh City (also known as Saigon)
After a short flight to Ho Chi Mihn City, explore Saigon’s famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing underground network of tunnels which stretches over hundreds of kilometres. You’ll have the opportunity to crawl in a section of the tunnels to learn how the brave locals built underground hospitals, kitchens and meeting rooms during their struggle for a unified Vietnam. Enjoy a river cruise dinner along the Saigon River. (B/D)

Day 8 - 9 Mekong Delta
Morning explore the lush countryside of the Mekong Delta, the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam. Cruise waterways, stopping at abundant orchards to taste exotic fruits, visit local family owned business along the way. Sample a Mekong speciality lunch and then go on a sampan ride through some of the small creeks and canals before returning to Saigon. Enjoy a walking tour of historic Dong Khoi Street, and then visit the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. The tour ends with a hotel / airport transfer on day 9. (2B/1L)
