This package tour takes you to the most famous World Heritage sites of Halong Bay and Angkor Wat. Starts with exploring the Old Quarter and enjoying the traditional water puppet show in ancient capital city of Hanoi, and then cruise the scenic Halong Bay on an overnight Junk boat, experience a clcyo ride to the impressive remains Imperial Citadel in Hue, stroll the quaint streets of charming harbour town - Hoi An, discover the tranquil waterways of Mekong Deltas in Saigon, ends with a discovery of the incredible temple of Angkor.
Day 1 – 2 Hanoi
Arriving Hanoi on day 1, your will be transferred to your hotel. The next day walking tour of Hanoi from Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to Uncle Ho’s former residence and the House of Stilts before visiting Hanoi’s oldest structure, the One Pillar Pagoda, See Hanoi’s ancient Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first educational institute, and the infamous Hanoi Hilton. Explore Hanoi’s fascinating Old Quarter, enjoy a local specialty dinner and an evening water puppet performance. (B/D)
Day 3 Halong Bay
Sit back and enjoy your first view of the northern countryside as drive to Halong Bay. Board a traditional Vietnamese junk boat, enjoy a seafood lunch, and relax on the deck as you cruise through the amazing seascape before going ashore on one of the islands to explore limestone caves. You will have an opportunity to go for a relaxing swim and see a beautiful glowing sunset over Halong Bay. (B/L/D)
Day 4 - 5 Hue
Morning cruise, take a wooden boat to explore caves and spot monkeys, after a lunch, return to Hanoi for your comfortable overnight train to Hue- a former imperial city of Vietnam. The next day leisurely cruise on the romantic Perfume River to one of Hue’s most beautiful landmarks, the Thien Mu Pagoda, with its iconic tiered tower, and visit the vast and ornate tombs of Vietnam’s last imperial dynasties. Indulge in a delicious local specialty dinner. (B/D)
Day 6 – 7 Hoi An
Experience a cyclo ride to the impressive remains of the walled Citadel and the Forbidden Purple Palace before a scenic drive over the stunning Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. Feast your eyes on magnificent coastal and rural scenery and see the beautiful Marble Mountain on the way. Enjoy a walking tour of the historic Hoi An; visit ancient merchants’ houses, a Hokkien temple, the Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful riverside market. The next day is your free time to explore the ancient harbour city of Hoi An. You may hire a bike to explore local streets or order tailor made clothes. Hoi An has nearly 100 silk shops offering same-day services for tailor-made clothes at incredibly low prices. (2B/D)
Day 8 Ho Chi Minh City
After a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City-Vietnam’s largest city, explore Saigon’s famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing underground network of tunnels which stretches over hundreds of kilometres. You’ll have the opportunity to crawl in a section of the tunnels to learn how the brave locals built underground hospitals, kitchens and meeting rooms during their struggle for a unified Vietnam. Enjoy a dinner cruise along the Saigon River. (B/D)
Day 9 Mekong Delta
Morning explore the lush countryside of the Mekong Delta, the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam. Cruise waterways, stopping at abundant orchards to taste exotic fruits and to learn how to make delicious coconut candies, later afternoon walking tour of historic Dong Khoi Street, and then visit the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum (B/D)
Day 10 Ho Chi Minh City / Siem Reap
After a short flight to Siem Reap, you are met and guided to Visit “Small Circuit” the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. (B)
Day 11 – 12 Angkor Wat
Get up early, take a tuk-tuk ride to Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world and watch sunrise over the amazing temples of Angkor Wat, afternoon tour of Angkor Thom to see its four massive faces carved out of rock – each one looking towards different compass points, climb to the summit of Pre Rup for a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape and the sunset before a local speciality dinner.
