Day 1 Shanghai / Hangzhou
Arriving in Hangzhou from Shanghai, enjoy a cruise on the romantic West Lake and enjoy beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Visit one of China’s most incredible cultural treasures, Hangzhou’s Lingyin Temple, before stopping at the Longjing Tea Plantation for an opportunity to sample newly harvested tea. Complete the day with a local specialty dinner. (1D)

Day 2 Hangzhou / Yellow Mountain
Today you will visit Yellow Mountain which is a World Heritage Site famous for its beautiful natural scenery and cultural attractions. Upon arrival at the base of Yellow Mountain, take a cable car up to the summit and enjoy a refreshing walk, seeing soaring peaks, elegant pine trees and a sea of clouds. You will spend the night on the summit. (1B/1D)

Day 3 Yellow Mountain / Nanjing
Wake up early to bask in the glory of a spectacular sunrise before taking a cable car back down the mountain to drive to Hongcun village, the film site of ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’. Take a stroll through the old streets and see the ancient stone architecture before boarding an overnight soft sleeper train to China’s former capital city, Nanjing. (1B/1D)

Day 4 Nanjing
Arriving in Nanjing in the morning, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, your Nanjing tour will begin with a tour of China’s national father’s mausoleum before a visit to one of China’s hidden treasures, the Linggu Pagoda, which is set in the beautiful Zhongshan Mountain Scenic Area. Stroll along the banks of Nanjing’s Qinhui River to see old neighbourhoods and experience Nanjing’s bustling local market. In the evening, sample a specialty dinner. (1B/1D)

Day 5 Nanjing / Suzhou
After a short train ride to the ancient canal town of Suzhou, you will visit the charming Humble Administrator’s Garden and the fine Master of the Nets Garden. Stroll along the Grand Canal to get a glimpse of local life. Visit Suzhou’s Panmen Scenic Zone, famous for its water and city gates, before visiting a silk embroidery factory to learn about the history and production of Chinese silk. Enjoy a specialty dinner before spending your free time at the Suzhou night market. (1B/1D)
