Day 1 – 2 Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. The next day, start a walking tour from Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to Uncle Ho’s former residence and the House of Stilts before visiting Hanoi’s oldest structure, the One Pillar Pagoda. See the ancient Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first educational institute, and the infamous “Hanoi Hilton”. Wander around the fascinating Old Quarter before enjoying a local specialty dinner and delightful water puppet performance. (1B/1D)

Day 3 Halong Bay
Sit back and enjoy your first view of the northern countryside as drive to Halong Bay. Board a traditional Vietnamese junk boat, enjoy a seafood lunch, and relax on the deck as you cruise through the amazing seascape before going ashore on one of the islands to explore limestone caves. You will have an opportunity to go for a relaxing swim and see a beautiful glowing sunset over Halong Bay. (B/L/D)

Day 4 - 5 Hue
Continue the cruise then change to a wooden boat to explore grottoes and spot monkeys. Return to Hanoi for a short flight to Hue - the former imperial city of Vietnam. The next day enjoy a leisure cruise on the romantic Perfume River to one of Hue’s most beautiful landmarks, Thien Mu Pagoda, with its iconic tiered tower. Visit the ornate imperial tombs. Experience a cyclo ride to the impressive remains of the walled Imperial Citadel. Indulge in delicious local cuisine for dinner. (2B/1L/1D)

Day 6 – 7 Hoi An
Take a scenic drive over the stunning Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. Along the way feast your eyes on magnificent coastal scenery including the beautiful Marble Mountain. Explore historic Hoi An on a walking tour. Visit ancient merchants’ houses, a Hokkien temple, the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge and browse the colourful riverside market. Day 8 Ho Chi Minh City
After a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam’s largest city, explore Saigon’s famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing underground network of tunnels which stretches over hundreds of kilometres. Enjoy a dinner cruise along the Saigon River. (B/D)

Day 9 Mekong Delta
Explore the lush countryside of the Mekong Delta, the “rice bowl” of Vietnam. Cruising through the canals, rivers and backwaters, you’ll learn about the daily lives of the local people. Taste exotic fruits, sample a Mekong specialty lunch, walk on the island’s trails and take a sampan ride through some of the small creeks. Wander through historic Dong Khoi Street, visit the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. (B/L)

Day 10 Ho Chi Minh City / Siem Reap
After a short flight to Siem Reap, tour the “Small Circuit” the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. (B)

Day 11 – 12 Angkor Wat
Get up early, take a tuk-tuk ride to Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world and watch sunrise over the amazing temples of Angkor Wat, afternoon tour of Angkor Thom to see its four massive faces carved out of rock – each one looking towards different compass points, climb to the summit of Pre Rup for a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape and the sunset before a local speciality dinner.
