Day1 - 2 Lhasa
Arriving in Lhasa, relax, explore and marvel at the beauty of the exotic region. The next day, visit the world-famous architectural wonder, the Potala Palace. This spectacular palace towers over an entire mountain and lake. Travel to the Jokhang Temple which is known as the most sacred place in Tibet, and explore markets at Barkor Circuit. In the evening, enjoy a Tibetan specialty dinner. (1B/1D)

Day 3 Lhasa
Visit Lhasa’s Norbulingka Park which was the site of the Dalai Lama’s Summer Palace. Explore the impressive Sera and Drepung Monasteries and observe interesting debating monks. Take a walking tour of Lhasa’s back streets and explore the Tibetan Quarter and Pawang Ka which overlook Lhasa Valley. (1B/1D)

Day 4 Lhasa / Gyantse
Enjoy a scenic drive to one of Tibet’s holy lakes, Yamdrok Lake - a sparkling turquoise lake flanked by snow-capped peaks. On the way, you will see local nomad camps, herds of yak and sheep and beautiful mountains and peaks before arriving at Gyantse. (1B/1D)

Day 5 - 6 Gyantse / Shigatse / Lhasa
Explore Gyantse’s Kumbum Pagoda, one of the most magnificent buildings in Tibet. It houses beautiful paintings, ancient murals and Buddha images by Nepalese craftsmen. Travel to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet, and visit the historically and culturally significant Tashihunpo Monastery. Explore the city’s thriving Old Quarter before driving back to Lhasa. Your Tibet Highlights tour will end with a transfer to the airport on the last day. (2B/1D)
