Day 1 - 2 Kunming
Your Yunnan tour starts with arriving Kunming, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The next day, you will amazed by one of China’s natural wonders – the Stone Forest, where you will see bizarrely shaped limestone cliffs and peaks which have formed by erosion after the sea bed was thrust up 270million years ago. Take a stroll at the picturesque Green Lake Park, observe locals’ leisure life. Sample a local specialty dinner. (1B/1D)

Day 3 - 4 Dali / Lijiang
Morning fly to Dali, the home to the Bai ethnic group, on the shores of Erhai lake surrounded by spectacular mountains. Visit the famous Three Pagodas, explore Bai people’s villages and stroll through the Old Town. Taste delicious local cuisine. The next day, drive to Xizhou Village. Visit the local vegetable market and courtyard of Bai minority. Then drive to the shore of Erhai Lake, take a boat cruise on the Erhai Lake and enjoy the cormorant fishing in the lake. Continue drive through the scenic countryside from Dali to Lijiang, an enchanting town with its Naxi minority culture and maze of winding cobbled streets and streams. (2B/1D)

Day 5 - 6 Lijiang / Tiger Leaping Gorge
While in Lijiang, you will leisurely wander around the Black Dragon Pool Park for a spectacular view of the Jade Dragon Mountain - from a distance this mountain looks like a dragon flying from within the clouds, and then visit the landmark building of Lijiang ancient town--the pure wood Wangu building on the top of Lion Hill and enjoy impressive views over the town. You will also see a 500 year old Camellia tree at the peaceful Tibetan Yufeng Monastery, stroll through Baisha Naxi people village and see the collection of unique artistic style and historic murals in the village. Have a homemade dinner at a local family courtyard restaurant. The next day enjoy a relaxing drive to the first bend of Yangtze River before seeing the world’s deepest gorge - Tiger Leaping Gorge, and then continue on to Shangri-la, a land of forests, grassland, mountains and Tibetan culture. Day 7 / Day 8 Shangri-la
On your Shangri-La tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the mystical prayer halls and temples of the 300 year old Songzanlin Tibetan Monastery, before taking a nature walk along the Napa Lake. In the afternoon, you’ll visit lush Tibetan villages and friendly Tibetan families before your final stop at a Tibetan Old Town to enjoy a traditional Tibetan dinner. Your Yunnan discovery tour ends with a transfer to the airport on the last day. (2B/1D)
